The problem is you did not convert the video to VOB when burning. You can try this expert DVD Creator tool, which is easy to use. You just need import the movie video and then click burn button, it can aslo allows you to edit the video such as trimming/cropping/setting effect and customizing DVD menu. You need not to be worry about the quality lossing.

I totally agree with you!
But I can kind of see why a person that WASN’T a fan of Rammstein wouldn’t like this. In a comment on a video with the original song someone said,

“Rammstein’s cover sucks because nobody wants to hear a song by a nazi band that can’t speak english.”

That’s just plain stupid.
Do I think that this version is better than the version by Depeche Mode? No. 99.9% of the time the original is always better.
But don’t hate just because you might not like the remix,,,

best and easiest on the market

Sounds like you have hooked it up right.
The problem will be that the recorder can detect that you are trying to copy copyrighted material(DVD's).

Most DVD recorders will not let you copy DVD's, as you are finding out.

Copying DVD's is illegal anyway.

try using different brands of dvd blanks. it could be that the one you're using now is not compatible with your home dvd player.
