How to use the Action Replay DS Code Manager Software

When thinking about the computer system as a whole, one thing that we need to look at is that audio drivers are quite the common feature in them, with sound being one of the more important things to know about when thinking about the whole concept of the audio driver and the audio system. In this case, sound cards play a major role in the development of the PC, and this is really what you need to pay attention to – because of the fact that at the end of it all, determinants like problems will always have a part to play in sound and entertainment. Before we can look at the problems of the sound card and the audio driver, let us try to understand what the audio driver really is and how the basic driver works.
We have to look at what the concept of the device driver is, and what it really is. It is a computer programme within the operating system that allows the computer to actually communicate and interact with any software or hardware within the computer.
What you need to know is that the driver is a device that channels data and instructions to the computer to form the basis of the functionalities of the hardware itself. The sub routines and routines of the hardware can then be performed as and when needed, and this is the basic function of the device driver. If you really want to put it in the simplest terms possible, what the driver is, is a translator that works to help bridge communication between the different codes of the hardware and the software.
Drivers can be looked at in two basic terms, which are the logical and the physical layers of their operation. Logical process are reserved for more network based hardware, like modems or even routers, while the physical layers are of course for those more internalised hardware. Writing a device driver is not an easy task, because the person who is going to do this would need to know how to actually base one off of another hardware and software, based on platforms. For example, Windows would be one of the platforms that we would be talking about here. A device driver needs to be well programmed because if not, it can either crash the system, the hardware or even affect a universal crash as well.
Now that we know what the driver is, what we need to know is how to resolve the common sound issue problems when we do come face to face with them. The first thing that we need to do is to know whether or not the problem actually lay with the sound driver, and if we have established that, all we need to do is to actually just replace the sound driver with a new one, and that takes a fresh install and a download from the manufacturer’s website. This is all you need to do to actually resolve the problem.

Many people have problems installing the Code Manager to their computers, because sometimes the software won't detect your DS when you connect it.
Keep in mind that the code manager only works with Windows XP. It WON'T work with Windows Vista until Codejunkies releases the appropiate drivers.
Step 1:
Plug your Action Replay DS to any free USB port you have in your computer BEFORE putting in the installation CD.
If you get a random window asking for the drivers needed for the installation, leave it there and put the installation CD in your computer.
Step 2:
Now put the installation CD in your computer, and follow the steps that appear in the screen. If you don't know what to do, just do what the pictures are telling you to do.
Step 3:
Click next, and when it asks you for the destination folder, leave it there, unless you are an advanced user and you know what you are doing. However, it is recomended for you to leave it there.
Step 4:
When you get to the window to rename the folder, ignore it. Just click the checkbox if you DON'T want to create a shortcut in the start menu.
Step 5:
In this step, check the checkbox if you WANT to create a shortcut in the desktop.
Step 6:
Now you will get a confirmation window with all the features you selected. When you are done, click "install".
Step 7:
When the installation is done, only mark the box that says "launch Action Replay Code Manager" and click "finish".
Congratulations! You just installed Action Replay DS properly, and you are ready to add your codes and more!
How to add codes.
Many people don't know how to add codes to the Action Replay DS using the Code Manager. I'm going to explain how to do it now.
Step 1:
Open the Code Manager software, and locate the DS-Cartrige button in the top right corner. When you hover the mouse on it, you will see that it ways "Software Upgrade". Click that button.
Step 2:
You will see a pop-up window asking you if you want to upgrade the software. Select yes.
Step 3:
When you click yes, your computer will download the latest software from Codejunkies' site. From there, you will see a similar installation window that you saw when you were installing the software.
Step 4:
When you are done, you have to create "Custom Codelists", to do that, go to where it says "My Codelists", and click the icon that looks like a paper with a green "+" sign. Then drag and drop the games from the "My Subscriptions" to the custom codelist you just created.
Now, right-click one of the games in your custom codelist, and select "Add new cheat".
Step 5:
When you are adding cheats, you will a see a window like this one:
So just pick a title for your cheat, and add the codes that you can find on many websites.
Try to uninstall it again and then reinstall it. I know it is a pain but just try it because I had the same exact problem and that is what I did to fix it. You don't need to update it.
Hope I helped!
Is there no drivers for the dazzle dvc 170 on 64 bit
my cant find a driver for my dazzle and i got the driver and installed it and still didnt
my computer doesnt detect the capture card
why so?
PLEASE RESPOND SOON
Dazzle* Video Creator Platinium (DVC170) for 32 bit
it doesnt install for me it says wizard has had an interuption
The code action replay should come with the software that lets you input the codes. Besides the game id ( which shows up, for example, as " IHEO 20845 " is the game ID which those codes are registered. After putting that in your title, the next step is looking for the codes. Give a descriptive+the 2 lines of code(or more, depending on the codes) and don't forget to save and import if you must.
reinstall the software. that will solve the problem.
