First, if you ever receive ANY type of attachment from someone that you don't know and trust, do NOT open the attachment!
Second, most of the "bad guys" in the computer world realize that people have learned to not open strange attachments, so they have created ways of embedding their malicious code (viruses / spyware) into the actual body or other parts of an e-mail without needing to make an attachment. So if you open one of the e-mails with the nasty little code you can instantly have the surprises installed on your computer without you even knowing about it.
Even if you just preview the message without fully opening you can still get one of these "mail bombs" on you machine.
Best practice..
Don't open (or even preview) messages from people or organizations that you do not know and trust. Just delete it, and make sure to empty your deleted items afterward.

Here is what I use, You can see their screen, all typing. It logs it, works on the network or through internet, and they don't have to know you have it, or you can send messages, run and close programs, etc.
Specifically the actvity monitor. I think the logger for "parents" is just for logs, and not real time.

If he paid for a program and installed it on your compute to record what you are typeing then you are SOL. NO ANTI-SPYWARE program will find it. I don't care what program it is. If he paid a lagit site for the program and installed it on your computer then he knows what your up too. But here are some way most of them work. Press CNTRL+ALT+SHIFT+X The X can be any letter between a-z. I know about this because I use programs like this at work to spy on my employees that I think might be moles and I have tested it out trying to find it after I have installed it and hide it with all the major players and the free-bies out there and nothing found it. This of course what the most updated ones. You can imz me if you have any other questions.

I Ordered the Wire To Go Into the Computer and Downloaded the Software (We Get Things Like This Free In UK Due to a Difference in Hospital Service) and I Would Say Its Pretty Rubbish To Be Honest. I Found It Useless and confusing.
All computer have parental control tools installed by default if they use a Windows based operating system. If your "friend" installed a third party program on the computer, there is simply no way to know what program was installed, or how to bypass it because the program itself will limit access due to the nature of it's purpose. If you are being blocked from using a feature on your computer from someone else's deeds, I would ask them to correct the computer and find a new friend. Windows parental controls and those of a third party provider are surprisingly difficult, if not impossible to bypass. They are meant to be this way.
WHY! Are you trying to hide something from your parents. If you want it disabled ask them not us. I have a program very similar to that and the only way you can disable it is to have the password. If that one is like mine you have to have the password to remove it also.

Yes, it is called watchdog ll. Rhombustecnologies offers it. It is suppose to be a good program, but it is rather difficult to use if you are not computer literate. It is a real cheap (inexpensive) software program. It is intended for use in the workplace, but it can be used to check on your kids computer habits as well. Just don't let them know that it's installed on your computer, or the program will render you no results, because they will be aware that you are monitoring them.
You don't need any fancy programs but your graphics card needs to support it. Generally both your TV and graphics card need to have an S-video port (and then you'll need an S-video cable) (see sources for pictures/information on S-video). Then you'll need to plug in your computer using the s-video and look around at your graphics card's configuration utility (nVidia's is the NVIDIA Control Panel, under Control Panel), and look around for the multiple-display setup function. But movies that you're watching on your computer probably aren't in a high enough resolution to look great on a really big TV.
There are other methods of connecting other than S-video, but I'm not familiar with them. Happy hunting.

Hit Control Alt & Delete all at the same time. This brings up your Task Manager. Click "Processes" Type each "Image name" listed into your internet browser and the description of whatever software it is used for will come up.
