The Latest Technology

Microsoft for several years has been warning the world not to use open source software. It seems, Kumo research team did not receive this note. 
The Register reports, Microsoft Research and Kumo filled with new technology and open source, in fact, Kumo the research team, Powerset earlier “TR (ies) for the use of open source software, if available.” 
In other words, the open source software seems to be the default option for the team Kumo, no proprietary software. It seems that Microsoft is open-source anti-bubble has already exploded. 
In fact, reading through the transformation of Microsoft Kumo Powerset team described its approach to be read and written by open-source friendly IBM:

This is the future of Microsoft? 
At least in the short term, and it seems that the answer is yes. Microsoft may indicate that at the time, which is still unstable on the important software licensing under the open-source license, it consumes very interested in open source software, in the consolidation of ownership of products. JQuery Visual Studio to accept the code base is just one example. 
CIO.com recently wrote that Microsoft had lost its focus, with serious consequences. I think that this is true. 
I also believe that Microsoft is scared about the cost of open source as a year of productivity and quality gains that could have been to customers through the provision of open source. I hope that there is ignorance is over.
According to Palmer, CEO of Microsoft that Microsoft needs to further research into the disorder, and open source is a way to start moving in this direction; President (Google), including open source, without reservation. 
Microsoft Kumo research, it is certainly moving in that direction. But when we see that Microsoft will build the basic open-source products? I am not held my breath.
